“Love Chants, Volume I, II and III” is a series of unrelated video sequences modeled after “as seen on TV” television commercials for popular anthology record albums like “K-tel Hits of the ’70s.” The title was also inspired by the Jean Genet film, Un chat d’amour (A love song). In each of the three anthologies, a unique rotating object represents the turning of a record player, as well as the grooves between songs. Some video sequences are only a few seconds long.
